If there are two things I enjoy more than anything it’s fights and animals! I have had the privilege to be involved in and work in both fields! With that said it brings me great pleasure to shed some more light on an amazing partnership for a very great cause. SICP is one of the best up-and-coming MMA promotions in the entire Midwest! They will be putting on their Sixth show Fall Brawl on October 6th in downtown Evansville at the Old National Events Plaza! This time around Scott Arnold and the gang have decided to partner with The Warrick Humane Society for an amazing Cause!
Warrick Humane Society started in 1983 in the homes of a few generous people. Once they realized the growing need for an established no-kill shelter in Warrick County, they decided to build a safe place for animals to stay until adoption. Hundreds of dogs and cats from our community and beyond depend on them each year. The current facility is in poor condition. They are spending the money on repairs for the building when we could be using it to help more animals in need and serve the community. Their Board feels it is time to take bold steps in reviewing how they use their resources so they can be an effective and efficient non-profit partner in our region. Their services are an asset to the community, but their building is a hindrance to their growth and impact. This is where the Building Hope project comes in. They have a property a couple of lots down from their current shelter, and they are fundraising to build their new facility there! I’ve attached the current blueprints and some other resources. With the new building, they could save an additional 400 animals a year, as well as provide further low-cost veterinary services to our community. As a no-kill, non-profit shelter, they are 100% donation-funded. They do not receive any government assistance. Their mission to save the lives of animals in our community, and build hope for future generations, is only made possible by our generous supporters.

Last but least I’d like to urge anyone and everyone who is an animal lover to please donate whatever you can! Any amount small or large helps out the amazing people working at the Warrick Humane Society as well as the precious cats and dogs they take in,care for,and find homes for year after year! It’s an amazing organization full of some amazing people who could use all the help they could get!
